About Us

Bridget always had a great love for animals as a child and a strong desire to help them and make a difference to their lives. She pursued her lifelong dream of being a Vet graduating from the Royal Veterinary College, London in 2008. In the following years she worked both in the UK and Australia before coming back home to Cambridge to be closer to family. She has worked for the last several years as lead vet and clinical director in the Cambridgeshire area gaining invaluable experience in all aspects of veterinary medicine and surgery.

She decided to take the plunge and open Highgate Veterinary Clinic in 2023 driven by a passion to provide the very best patient and client care in a supportive non-corporate environment. She is so proud of the amazing team at Highgate and the values they uphold. She loves all aspects of the job but finds dealing with her elderly patients and in particular managing their pain effectively and improving quality of life incredibly rewarding.

In her spare time she can be found walking her cheeky border terrier Wilfred in the local countryside.

Our amazing Head Nurse Sophie has extensive knowledge of many areas of veterinary medicine and patient care. She has a passion for her patients and loves getting to know them through regular nurse clinics. She goes out of her way to make every vet visit for them as stress free as possible and ensure they are having a positive experience.

Outside of work Sophie enjoys doing agility with her sprocker Fletcher and organising team social events.

Kerry-Anne has been working in veterinary practice since 2012 and qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2016. She enjoys all aspects of nursing, with a particular interest in anaesthesia and nursing clinics. She believes that the human-animal bond is incredibly important and loves to help people find the best ways of caring for and communicating with their pets.

Kerry-Anne has a honours degree in Animal Behaviour and Welfare, specifically focusing on Canine and Feline Behaviour. With a strong background in animal behaviour and training she has a keen interest in working with animals with behaviour problems and helping them overcome these. Her calm nature readily puts our anxious patients at ease in practice.

As a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, Kerry-Anne also runs dog training classes and workshops in her spare time.

Kerry-Anne has two retrievers, Lyra and Mowgli and a cat called bobby who share her home with herself, her husband and daughter.

Eloise qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2015. She subsequently went on to complete a certificate in hydrotherapy for small animals. She has a keen interest in the rehabilitation of patients post-surgery or injury as well as canine holistic health and nutrition. She is extremely kind and caring and loves interactions with the clients and patients.

At home, Eloise enjoys training her 12 month old working cocker spaniel called Polly and taking her for long walks.

Claire has many years of experience working in client care in the veterinary industry including working in a fast paced veterinary hospital. She loves getting to know all of the clients and their pets and ensuring they get a very warm welcome in reception. Her Kind, approachable nature is valued by patients, clients and staff alike.

Claire likes spending her spare time with her Australian Shepherd dog Teddy and catching up with friends and her grown up children who live locally.

Denise has been working in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. She has a wealth of experience dealing with all aspects of the profession and a real passion for helping people and their pets. She plays a vital role in the day to day running of the practice and is a very upbeat and vivacious character loved by all of the team.

At home she has a naughty black cat called Moose who is always getting into mischief. Outside of work Denise has a variety of interests including volunteering for local charities, enjoying films and cinema and rescuing cats.
